This manual is not based upon deficits, weaknesses, labels, categories or pathologies but seeks to meet the developmental needs of young people by offering an approach seeks meaningful relationships, stability and a sense of permanence, respect and purpose for our lives. Connectedness, Continuity, Dignity, and Opportunity (CCDO) are transcendent principles that will provide for our children positive relationships with adults, permanence, predictability and the chance to leave a legacy, a safe and pleasing environment where respect is exhibited and the opportunity to develop personal competencies.
