From our humble beginnings in 1913, Starr Commonwealth has grown in its locations and facilities to further our mission and expand our ability to help families, children, schools and communities. All of our locations have excellent facilities; however we still keep in mind that they exist for one sole purpose: to help children overcome their difficult backgrounds and situations so they may reach their full potential.
We currently manage five sites in Michigan and Ohio, with our Albion, Michigan campus serving as headquarters to our operations. Through these sites and campuses we are providing community-based early intervention and preventative services as well as specialized residential alternatives. Through the recent acquisition of Children's Home of Detroit, Starr inherited the organization's Grosse Pointe Woods and Warren campuses, both of which are currently closed.
